Shades!

Innumerable set of colors

Red, Blue, Yellow, Pink, Black, Brown, White….

Each complementing one another to form a new color, a new beginning…

Then why do we divide the black from white?

Hither and thither,
helter skeleter,
far and near,
thereover, hereunder,

We all are searching for colors

One may be the color of riches

Other the color of dumper ditches

One color is a souvenir

What is the other color?

Does color really speak?

Yes! In today’s world they do.

Whites are monarchs

Blacks are slaves

How do we get the shade of Grey then?

I thought about the destructions

Caused due to the two colors

Caste, creed, race and religion

Get defined by these two colors

When will we learn to say “It doesn’t matter which color the skin is”?

When we escape these bodies,
and bang the heaven's gate,
then we can say no color,

We all be same and undistinguished

We will have nothing to debate

So start practicing now

Enjoy the difference of colors

And until that day in glory
when we are truly one,
let's love ourselves
in all colors,

In all layers and shades!

TODAY!!!

Today I was lovingly woken up by my alarm an indication of kick starting a new day!

As i stepped out of the warmth of my home towards the jogger’s park, i had a tryst with truth several times. By then the sun had majestically occupied his position in the sky. He was there to overshadow the darkness of the night. The rays of the sun gave me a morning kiss as an indication of an entire new beginning.

I started to walk and embark on the new day granted by the supreme power by reciting my favorite mantra

ॐ त्रियम्बकं यजामहे, सुगन्धिं पुष्टिवर्धनं
उर्वारुकमिव बन्धनान् मृत्योर्मोक्षिय मामृतात्

How true it is! Nothing is constant. Everything that has come into existence has to seize on day. This is true for even this moment, the time; this very second will die to give way for a new one, a new hope, new rootage!

So why do we fear of death? Let’s embrace it and hug it tight because even before you know it will be gone.

This brings me to a conclusion, don’t ever harp on your past glory as the time is just your guest and will bring in new curves in your life. At the same time my dear friends don’t let worries bog you down, tell them “Bring it on”!

My tryst with truth continued. With so many shades of life enfolding in front of my eyes! My eyes got stuck on a Grandpa reliving his childhood days by playing with his growing granddaughter. A sight to behold!

As I moved forward my attention was grabbed by two moms sharing the tales of their daughters, the constant switch in their expression expressed their inhibitions and deep love

Suddenly I came across again two moms discussing a grave issue, probably complaining about their daughters in law

Just as sun was playing joyfully in his playground, in the sky, the ground was filled with children, all of them aspiring to become Sachin Tendulkars! Hats off to their tenacity & commitment!

Finally the most beautiful part of my tryst was this little cute puppy, the cynosure of the entire experience. He would chase and scare all the walkers. And to my surprise he actually managed to do that! What does that adumbrate? Yes! Size does not matter; it’s your presence, it’s you who can make a difference!

So what are you waiting for? Stand up and start now, don’t wait for a second chance!

To end my encounter with truth and to start a new one,

“ Each day, each one of us know that we are nearing the final day, the day we will be dissolved and engulfed by time, but every day we strive live a better life and distance our thoughts from a word called mortality…..This is optimism!”

Make the Difference!

Journey!

This is the world where truth has little value

As hatred and despair are the greatest values

Patience is not the mother of all virtues

Due to the non existence of peace and harmony

So we have been left with a broken spirit and a wounded heart

Is there someone who really cares? Who still believes in peace?

If you do, then continue your path to find your destination

Share all your love without condition

And you shall find a special friend, a precious one

Who will reach out to you, accept you

Who will embrace you, nurture you

All your questions will be answered

Truth will unfold itself

Your broken spirit and your wounded heart

Will have peace and harmony

You will have reached the end of your

long tiring journey

So spread your wings and fly high

At last you will be set free

Of all the miseries and pain!

Empty Glass

I am on the wrong side
of this lonely one side glass
I can still see you
Sitting so still
You seem emotionless
You seem indifferent
You turn a deaf ear to all my efforts
You have left me here alone to die

I am on the wrong side
of this lonely one side glass
You are glinting at me
You are snubbing at me
You are seeing me in pain
In anguish, and angst
But nothing can incite you
Not my cry, nor your promise
Since you have left me here
Alone to die!!!

WHAT DO WE MEAN BY RELIGION????

In our day and age it seems all to easy to lose a sense of belonging, to unravel the ties that bind, and to find oneself utterly different and alone.

Religion has traditionally been a powerful force for preserving a sense of community, counteracting the tensions that can easily pull people apart. The word itself is most likely derived from the Latin root religare, to "re-tie" or "re-connect." Most of us have had an experience of "collective effervescence," a powerful feeling of shared energy and identity among a group of people. When religious practitioners gather together for a ritual, they are often energized and motivated by this feeling, which they then carry beyond the ritual and into their daily lives. Because they feel bound to each other (and perhaps even to all of humanity), their shared feeling of community fuels their actions in the world at large. It follows that religion offers a sense of knowing one's place with regard to others (one's duties, obligations, and goals) on a broad and sometimes universal scale.

For many, religion tells human beings that they are never alone. The structure and communion of religious life provide a consistent sense of belonging. But doesn't that lead to uniformity and stricture? What about the hermit, the exile, the loner, or the rebel? What about the value of solitude, of being alone? Historically, religious institutions have indeed wielded the power to define people socially, to institute social distinctions, and ultimately to exclude outsiders and those who question and protest.

But even among those who find themselves in exile or retreat, we might suggest that religion still speaks. Even the individual in solitude has his or her own sense of belonging. Perhaps it is an interior life populated by a community of imagined figures (we might compare this to the experience artists sometimes describe). Perhaps one is in constant contact with an idea, maybe a moral or political one, like liberation or justice. Or perhaps the loner is constantly in communication with what he or she perceives to be divine.

In all cases, human beings need a sense of community, belonging, and connection, and we could say that this is a religious sense.

........Within

if i were a bird
flying up in the sky
would i fly with ease?

if i were a fish
in the deep blue sea
would i be free
of all my worries?

if i were a saint
meditating in the mountains
would i have been free of all sins?

if i were in the heaven
right up there
would i have been the creator?

if i were a demon
loitering ideal minds
would i have harmed anyone?

if i were dead
tugged in the earth
would that be the end?

so who am i?
all these?
or none of these?

I am the soul,
the essence
there is nothing on the surface
for i am within!!

Right Here!

Just beyond the sunset
someone is waiting for me
Just beyond the sunset
I feel the serene breeze
Just beyond the sunset
are the moments i cherish

Just beyond the sunset
lies my destiny
with open arms,
and all the warmth
there is someone waiting
i can see the spark, the light
though i am lost in the dark

Just beyond the sunset
is where i stay
my space, my home
my peaceful world
like a paradise soaked
in deep tranquility
Just beyond the sunset
one day you may
find me here
Right Here!!!
